Color In The Corner
A bit of useful decoration on the grinder table.
The new shop is up and running with a back log
of repair work and many new projects.
More information on classes will be coming soon.
The first class is already sold out with a waiting list.

In The Racks
I have been working in the new shop since Monday.
It is such a pleasure to have this much space: about 300 square feet.
The last place was 80 square feet and almost unworkable for any project over 20" x24"..
I looked over yesterday at the sun coming in on all the glass in the racks and saw this...thought I would share it with you.
Just look at that...one of the reasons that I love stained glass.

Window Art
Just a quick post showing some slag glass that I keep in the studio window.
I have so much work to catch up on...
Being shut down for 6 months is a real bummer.
OK, back to work..

New Glass Shop
At last....All ready to go !!
When you are moving, every thing takes longer and costs more then you had planned for....it is just a rule.
But it is now finished: glass block windows, air conditioning & heating, new electric installed, and insulation is in place.
Much larger than the last space it will allow for more complex and larger projects....and there is space for classes!
I will post more on the glass classes later but the
space was laid out with classes in mind.
So, I will be teaching...

New Shop Space
Everything unloaded in the new shop.
Stacked in the center for now as there is still so much to be done.
The walls, ceiling, and floor need painting...
The glass block windows need to be installed.
One of the block windows will have an air conditioner.
Light panels need to be wired.
Oh yes, the new electric work needs to be done.
Then and only then can I begin to arrange this space.
Off to a great start, don't you think??

The Big Move
We have moved..
not a long move, just across town.
But it took 33 days to get it all done.
Have you ever had to move a glass shop?
I do not recommend it unless you absolutely have to do it.
Now the arranging begins.
Every thing, except the large sheets of glass, is in a box.
I hope to be ready to work within a week.
I have empty walls to fill in the mall.
Not to mention Etsy which has been left alone for far too long.
So, watch this space....
more is on the way....

New Plate Panel
I managed to spend a lot of time on this panel.
Every time I thought I had the right idea,
some thing else would come up and I would need to work on that.
The ideas just floated through my head and did not stay there.
Finally, I caught a break and had the time to finish.
I think it turned out pretty well.
The antique amber plate, set in a surround of "Frost" glass,
with glass globs, an amber streaky border with bevel accents,
and a fine black/brown patina.
This 16" square panel is really spectacular
with the light shining through it.
Enjoy it.
